Solar Lead Management Tool
List your solar leads and see what is in the pipeline, what you have won and who to call next.
Most small solar companies run their leads out of a notebook, a spreadsheet or a phone’s notes app. It works until a quote goes quiet for three weeks and nobody notices. This tool keeps the list simple and puts the follow-ups where you’ll see them.
It’s for installers and sales reps. Add each lead with a name, a contact, where it came from, its stage, the job value and a follow-up date. The tool shows what’s in your pipeline, what you’ve won, your win rate and which follow-ups are due or overdue. The PDF is a report you can print or send to your team. Nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account.

This tool reports on the leads you type in. It stores nothing on our servers and sends no emails or reminders. Data as of October 2026.
How this tool works
The stages and the numbers
There are seven stages: New, Contacted, Appointment set, Quote sent, Negotiating, Won and Lost. The first five count as open. Pipeline value is the job value of the open leads added together. Win rate is won leads divided by won plus lost, so leads that are still open don’t pull it down. Follow-ups due are open leads whose date is overdue or falls in the next 7 days. Open leads with no date are counted separately, because those are the ones that go quiet.
The report also groups leads by source and shows how many each source gave you and how many it won. After a few months that tells you which source is worth the money. A lead from a referral and a lead from an ad can look the same on the day, and the won column is where they stop looking alike.
Tip: give every open lead a follow-up date, even a rough one. A lead with no date is the one you forget.
Use the Solar Quotation Generator for the quote itself, and the Solar Installation Profit Calculator to check a price before you send it.
What it doesn’t do
- It isn’t a CRM. It has no emails, no reminders and no shared list. It’s one list in one browser, plus a report.
- It holds personal details. Names and phone numbers stay in your browser, but anyone who uses the same browser can open them, and a PDF you send holds them too.
- It doesn’t import files. You add leads one row at a time.
Where the numbers come from
- This tool uses no outside data. Every lead, value and date in the report is what you type in. The example behind the Fill in an example button is made up.
Questions
Is this a CRM?
Not a full one. A CRM stores contacts on a server, shares them across a team and sends reminders. This tool keeps one list in your browser and gives you a report. For a few dozen leads that can be enough.
Where is my lead list stored?
In your browser’s storage, on this device. Nothing is uploaded. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the list is gone, so download the PDF when you need a record. The Clear all entries button wipes it too.
How is the win rate worked out?
Won leads divided by won plus lost. Open leads aren’t counted, so a long list of new leads doesn’t lower it.
What counts as a follow-up due?
An open lead whose follow-up date is before today or within the next 7 days. Overdue ones are marked, and the report shows how many days late each one is.
What should I enter as the job value?
The sale price you expect. Leave it empty when you don’t know yet. The lead is still counted, and it adds nothing to the pipeline value.
Can I add notes to a lead?
Yes. Each row has a notes box, and the notes print in the all-leads table of the PDF.
